Wedding Departure Ideas

When I meet with couples to discuss their wedding preparations one of the lesser thought about items is how the couple will depart from their wedding. Whether leaving the ceremony for the reception or departing at the end of the evening, there are lots of options to consider.

We were recently interviewed by Weddings Portland Style on this very subject.  We discuss some of the unique ways our couples have departed from their wedding celebrations.  Make sure to check out the recent episode titled “How to Create Stunning Wedding Photos” for more unique wedding departure ideas.

We also wrote an article that is published on My Portland Photographer titled Departing in Style.  In the article, we provide a number of photos depicting the various ways couples have chosen to depart from their wedding celebration.  Everything from classic sparkler departures to Portland pedicabs are covered.

Depicted above, Alix & Ryan chose Best Car in Town, Oregon’s only 1947 “Silver Wraith” Rolls Royce Limousine, to leave their wedding reception.  Best Car in Town is the recipient of Oregon Bride Magazine’s Best Getaway Car for 4 years in a row.

When you are planning for your wedding, make sure to consider how you will leave at the end of the evening.  Make sure to stop by and check out more of our work at Paul Rich Studio.
