Meredith and David didn’t want to do a traditional wedding cake for their wedding. The thought of feeding cake to each other in front of all of their wedding guests really didn’t resonate with them, but they didn’t want their friends and family to miss out on the thrill of this dessert-y experience. As an alternative, they decided to celebrate with a piñata made in the shape of a wedding cake – something they figured all of their guests could all enjoy together. Guests took turns trying to break it open until finally it split, raining candies and mini liquor bottles down onto the ground – a treat that many enthusiastically gathered to collect.
