Sarah & Scott were married in August at the Blue Heron Herbary on Sauvie Island. I remember it so vividly–a long, hot and beautiful day, a small community of only their closest friends, an epic dance party, many happy tears, amazing food, a whisky bog, and children playing games in the grass. They carefully chose each part of their wedding day to tell a part of their love story. I had met Sarah when she was a bridesmaid for a friend of hers, and seeing her on her own wedding day made me incredibly happy.
We took a walk down the grassy lane right as the sun sank over the horizon, and they had a few quiet moments together, snuggling, walking and dancing. I love these moments. With all the dizzying speed with which wedding days fly by, slowing down time for a few minutes is so important and memorable. What a night.
