What options do you have if you don’t want to partake in the traditional walking-down-the-aisle part of the wedding ceremony? This couple, whose ceremony and reception took place in a backyard over looking the Willamette Valley, reimagined the processional for their ceremony, mounting a dinner bell to their ceremony arbor. Guests arrived by shuttle and gathered on the patio to socialize and enjoy a drink together before the ceremony began. When the bride and groom were ready to begin, they walked together down to their ceremony site, rang a dinner bell that they’d repurposed for the occasion, and waited for their guests to come to them. It turned out beautifully, resulting in a sweet and casual start that really reflected who they were and what they wanted this experience to embody for their friends and family.
