Choosing a Wedding Dress

One of the first things a bride pictures when envisioning their wedding is the dress.  Yet there are so many options to choose from ranging from empire waist gowns to A-lines to ball gowns and more.  Choosing the right wedding dress may not be as easy as it seems.

Ball gowns have very full skirts and typically have either crinolines that are built in or a slip that must be worn to maintain the shape of the gown.  This extra fabric can be a bit heavy and bulky so a bride is encouraged to keep that in mind when considering the logistics of their wedding day.

A-lines have a skirt that gently flares from the waist to form an “A” shape and are a great compliment to the ball gown.  They most often contain less fabric and are not quite as full as a ball gown.

Empire waist gowns are a wonderful choice for less formal weddings or ones that occur in warm tropical climates.  These types of dresses are usually made with a lighter flowing fabric.

Then, once the wedding dress is chosen, there are the shoes, the veil, jewelry and other items to consider to compliment the style of the dress.  Because of all the thought and care that goes into the selection of a wedding dress, we make sure to highlight the dress before it is even worn by the bride on her wedding day.
