Don’t Forget to Enjoy Yourself!

With months upon months of planning and budgeting and selecting the perfect details for your wedding day, it is all too common for couples to get caught up in one single detail gone wrong: the caterer runs out of plates or the marriage certificate gets left at the hotel. I’ve even photographed a wedding where the bride’s and groom’s rings went missing and they had to borrow stand-ins from their guests. In each instance, the couples had a single choice: to go with the flow and adapt, or to allow the stress to affect their enjoyment of the day.

Whichever way you tend to lean in your day-to-day life, the best thing you can do pre-wedding is to remember that something, somewhere along the way is probably going to go wrong. When you make it a point to love the day no matter what it throws at you, then years down the road, you’ll remember what a great time you had. So when all the i’s are dotted, the t’s are crossed and you’ve done everything you can do to make the day run smoothly, kick your heels up and vow to have a great time. You’ll be glad you did.
