Colorful Leaves and Tree Climbing at this Fun Engagement Session

Whenever we have a chance, we try to capture our couples while seeing the world from a different prospective. We really love to try to see everyday scenes (and simple poses) in ways that seem out of the box. One of our favorite parks in Portland is on Sauvie Island (just outside of town). In the fall, the majestic old-growth oaks and the gnarly heirloom apple trees, transform into gorgeous spectacles of color. Many of the leaves make it to the ground, evenly carpeting otherwise patchy soil. Elena and Adam laid on these leaves, as we made our way to the top of one of the apple trees in the park’s orchard. Looking down at them, I saw the patterns in the leaves, the brightness of the colors and the beauty in their love for one another. Their choice of bright hues of blue was perfect for such an array of autumn colors… the two of them really pop out of the background! It’s not that difficult to climb a tree for out of the ordinary images. It just takes a little bit of planning and a whole lot of love for photography 😉

Thanks so much for looking at our work!
