I’m not sure how much the couple had to pay for such nice weather for their October wedding…

But it was worth it.

Of course there were back up plans in case of rain but thank goodness they didn’t need to be implemented. It ended up being the perfect day.

Looking at these images it may be hard to imagine how frantic this period of the wedding day was. As a photojournalist at heart I have plenty of images conveying the sense of urgency that was present in the room as the bride finished slipping into her dress but I love how time seems to slow down with these two shots.

Bridal Veil Lakes is unbelievably beautiful and incredibly close to downtown Portland. This venue really shines during the drier months- ie. not January.

I’ve seen grown men have a harder time getting ready than these two.

Of course the guys have it a lot easier than the ladies when it comes to a wedding. Still, these guys held their own beautifully.
