When we photograph weddings, the bride and groom have at least 30 minutes of relaxation time prior to the ceremony. This enables the bride to go off into “hiding” and rest while all the guests arrive and it gives the groom some down time as well. Whenever possible, we use this time to then capture details not only of the ceremony location but of the reception as well.
A perfect example of this was at Janet & Ethan’s wedding in upstate NY at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. As the guests arrived for the ceremony, my associate and I documented all the unique reception details – everything from the table setting to the place cards, the beautiful floral to the wedding cake, and even the actual food dishes themselves. The two of you spend an incredible amount of time thinking through all the details for your wedding and we make sure to capture it.
