Random is a good thing. Sometimes weddings get to be way too structured… nine minutes for this or that part of the day and heaven help you if it goes to ten! Photographically, it is important to set aside some time for the lovers… it isn’t as important to micromanage that time. Mostly you need to go with your gut and shoot the magic along the way.
With Tricia and Dave, we set out from the Nines Hotel with a goal of getting to the Chinese Garden. We had six different shoots as we went… I think we maybe spent 40 minutes on that walkabout and the rewards were many.
My advice to any couple is take the time and trust your professional photographer… good things will happen. ;0)
