Traditionally, bridal portraits are a formal portrait of the bride taken a month or so before the wedding. The bridal portrait was often used to announce the wedding in the local newspaper.
Even if you choose not to formally announce your wedding, bridal portraits are a great addition to your wedding album and can also make a beautiful gift for your parents, grandparents or spouse-to-be.
It’s a good idea to time your bridal portrait along with your hair and make-up trial run and before your final fitting. During your session, you can experiment with your wedding-day look and decide which shoes, jewelry and hair piece you like best.
