Engagement sessions are my favorite portrait sessions. There, I said it out loud. Don’t get me wrong, weddings are wonderful, but they can also be a bit chaotic. Engagement sessions are intimate and an opportunity to connect with my couple and tell their story.

Jessica and Cyle’s engagement session ended up being one of my favorites. But it didn’t start out that way. Cyle is an attractive guy, but a bit awkward in front of the camera. He wasn’t sure what to do. So, I told him to be a rock star. Don’t worry about looking at the camera. Give me some attitude. Be aloof, reserved and cool. He nailed the role of rock star.
