no kidding: we didn’t plan this

We plan and plan and plan some more, but sometimes it’s the unexpected moment that makes the most amazing image. The wedding was running a little late, so the bride and groom were cooling their heels outside in front of the church, underneath the stone portico. Good thing there’s two of us, so while I’m inside shooting the little flower girls, John notices the wonderful light and makes this amazing composed portrait of Jennifer and Andy that looks as though they had all the time in the world.

Two minutes later, the bride was being escorted up the aisle.

See more of this wedding at our blog.

Rob - Awesome- that’s a great portrait, all the better in that little window of time. I’m sure ti will mean all that much more to them because of when it was taken.

Joni Shimabukuro - Beautiful light is not enough. It still takes the skill of professional to pose the couple and get them to relax just before the ceremony – usually when there is a little tension anticipating the “big” event in front of all their family and peers. Nicely done John.
